Smiles Entertainment
My name is Stuart Smylie and nicknamed ‘Smiles’ in my 28 years in the RAF. I am the founder of Smiles Entertainment, and this is its second iteration having acted as an Entertainment Agent from 2006-2012 under this guise. This time it’s much more about event organisation. I have over 30 years of event organisation experience and love every aspect of the process and particularly the attention to detail.
Where Smiles Entertainment Began
It all began in the tiny village of Dailly in South Ayrshire, when my dad volunteered me to join the village Gala Committee at the age of 15. In that first year of 3, I got involved and organised a Chess Tournament, A Pool Tournament and a 5-A-Side Football Tournament where the Sports Editor of the Sunday Mail presented the winners trophies.
Joining the RAF with event organisation experience, I adapted to organising quizzes, charity auctions, and evolving to official military functions! Culminating in being Chairman of the Entertainment Committee at RAF Lossiemouth WO & SNCOs’ Mess. Smiles Quizzes have since enjoyed a notoriety happening all over the world, USA, Canada, Sweden, Romania, Falklands etc.
