DIANE MERSON-JONES (violin)
Diane studied at St. Mary's Music School in Edinburgh
and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
In 1984 she moved to Glasgow to take up a position with
the Scottish Opera Orchestra, which she held for 10
years.
She now devotes her time to freelancing with all the
main Scottish orchestras.
MAY HALYBURTON (double bass)
May studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music
and Drama and won the Eugene Cruft Prize for double
bass. She then went on to work with the Orquestra Simfonica
de Balears in Palma, Mallorca.
Since returning to Scotland in 1998, she has been busy
teaching and performing; regularly working with many
orchestras and ensembles.
LYNDA COCHRANE (piano)
Lynda was born in Edinburgh and studied at Manchester
University, the Royal Northern College of Music and
at the University of Indiana with Marjorie Clementl
and Menahem Pressler.
She is now based in Glasgow and appears regularly as
a soloist and orchestral pianist with the RSNO, the
SCO, Scottish Ballet and the BBC SSO.
